Better Sleep Sack than Swaddle, 2010-09-07
I bought this graduate swaddle to start to wean my son from being swaddled at night, and I'm glad I didn't buy this first. He wiggled loose from it within 10 minutes of being in it. I wound up pulling off the wings and just using it as a sleep sack. If your looking for a a swaddle, I'd go with the regular ones and not waste your time or money on this one.
Nothing like the fleece version, 2010-08-22
We live in an area that is very hot in the summer and our local stores only carried the fleece version. We bought the fleece version just to try it out and our baby loved it. He had to be in it to sleep and when he got overstimulated it would calm him down immediately. When we found the cotton one online we ordered it thinking it would keep him cooler. Don't be fooled...they are nothing alike. It won't wrap him tight enough so he hates it. It's just like putting a blanket around him and he can wiggle out of it easily. Also, even thought he small size fleece version can barely fit around him he is too small for the large one in cotton. If your baby is hooked on the fleece one like mine, this is not the next step. Save the money and buy yourself a fleece one in large.
Good for the "graduate" not a great swaddle, 2010-07-17
I like this for a sleep sack but the swaddle part doesn't keep my little mover/wiggler in. He always got his hands underneath and would move the swaddle part...so if you need a good swaddle...this isnt the greatest, but it is a good lightweight sleep sack. I wanted a swaddle for 14-22lbs that was cotton. I ended up getting the organic summers infant cotton swaddle and it stretches to fit my 18lb little boy.

This was a good transition wrap for my 8 month old. We actually put the swaddle under her arms and it was just enough to make her feel cozy without being swaddled. I really like the light weight cotton for the summer. The fabric is very cute too. I think the size would be a little small for most 8 month olds. I think the Swaddleme Cotton line seems to run a little small generally.

It worked well as a transition for us to sleep sans blanket. She could at least start the night with her arms down and close to her, and then work them out without much trouble. I do like that it stayed velcroed even after she worked her arms out, and I didn't have to worry about any loose fabric.
If you're looking for a tight wrap though, this isn't it. Stick to the original SwaddleMe or swaddling blankets. It worked well as a transition blanket, but I don't think it was worth the money for the short time we used it... I could've just as easily used a Halo blanket and safety pinned a swaddle blanket to it..
